Monitoring Templates and Supporting Gender Disaggregated databases

Based on the programme output performance reporting and process-monitoring templates (Social Mobilization, Micro Credit and Micro Infrastructure, Human Resource Development and Social Sector Services) have been designed in consultation with all other sections along-with description of information flows and reporting authorities. Reporting frequencies and data check points have been concurrently decided.

Data repositories have been determined, and complementary databases/software have been developed (MIS CPIs, MIS Micro Credit and currently MIS Social Mobilization is in process) to create a supra structure for information analysis and two-way feedback.

Planning, monitoring and reporting templates for gender disaggregated data have also been institutionalized. The staff has been familiarized with templates usage, and information analysis for periodic planning and course correction. The more common and frequent reports generated include:

      1. Statistical updates

      2. Quarterly progress reports (quantitative)

      3. Annual figurative reports

      4. Annual narrative report

Though data is beautiful and effective’ in presenting the project progress, nonetheless the qualitative aspect has already given due importance. The PMER and other programme staff have been effectively encouraged and involved in preparing narrative quarterly progress reports and developing case studies. These reports and case studies have been undertaken to involve staff members in identifying the important qualitative aspects of the activities under respective programme components along-with suggestions on improvements.

Evaluation of Program Outputs and strategic realignment

SRSP PMER section, using two pronged strategy, has chalked out an evaluation plan. Internal evaluations have been carried out – for strategic course correction – on periodic basis for regularly checking health of different programme components.

External mid-term reviews and end-of-phase evaluation have helped appraising programme outputs, and progress towards outcomes and impact vis-à-vis benchmarks established at start of the programme.
