In response to such devastation SRSP took a quick decision of restructuring the organizational setup for these three affected districts. A Relief Coordination Cell (RCC) has been established at Mansehra for Mansehra and Battagram Districts whereas Abbottabad Regional team are providing services at Abbottabad District. The RCC is supported by a Relief monitoring team, Relief Gender Monitoring Team, Ware house Team, Accounts and Admin Teams. There are six Relief Camp Offices (RCO) established in the affected valleys of Balakot, Siren, Konch and in Battagram District. The RCO team consists of one senior staff member as team leader and four professional staff members. Each RCO is equipped with logistic support of two vehicles, one large tent (15x15) and gas heaters/stoves. Three support staff is also part of the teams. These RCOs are providing services to the relief efforts being undertaken in the districts of Mansehra and Battagram. A short training session on Camp Management was also delivered to the team leaders of RCO by the RSPN team. This reorganisation would not have been possible without the generous support of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, which helped us by covering operation costs.

In order to address the Water and Sanitation needs SRSP agreed to a proposal by DFID to assist RWSSP to reorganise and field a combined team comprising of RWSSP staff and SRSP Technical Assistance to implement a project addressing Water and Sanitation needs in the Districts of Mansehra, Battagram, Abbottabad, Shangla and Kohistan. The resources for the project would be channelised through SRSP which would have all the financial and management responsibilities.
Through its wide outreach in the area and long history of working with the communities in the area SRSP enjoys many advantages of working with communities. Therefore SRSP decided to provide outreach to organizations who want to work in the area but have little knowledge about the area. The main organizations which have benefited from SRSP outreach are given in the box below. Besides this there were many small organisations that contributed generously but space would not allow us to mention each one of them.
SRSP took the lead to implement the concept of Tent village in the affected area. The first three Tent villages were established at Battal, Bugermang and Bampora through the timely and generous donation of Tareen Farms. After these initial three Tent villages the RCOs were in place and SRSP further expanded its relief services in the form of 92 more Tent villages in these three districts. We received assistance for these tents and other NFIs from CIDA, DFID, PPAF, IDRF, and Asia Foundation- Give 2 Asia. SRSP established the tents in the following areas:
