Community Institutions & NetworkingSocial Mobilization in Fata

  • 239 Community Organizations have been established by FLADP in Kurram & FR Peshawar since inceptions
  • Programme has been extended to 239 villages
  • These Community Organizations represent 5,699 Households.

Enabling Collective Action through Social Mobilization (October 2010-till date)

  • Organized 12 communities
  • 102 community members have attained the Basic Activists Training
  • 36 community members have attained the Leadership Management Skill Training

Community Physical Infrastructure

  • 134 CPI have been established with PKR 92, 754, 650 since inception.
  • These benefit 23,450 men and women community members

Improving & Restoring LivelihoodsNatural resource Management in FATA

  • A total of 672 community members i.e. 496 men and 176 women have been given skill training since inception.
  • 338 community members (including 116 women community members) provided with skills for improving and strengthening their livelihoods since October, 2010 till date
  • These include various trades; Tailoring, Livestock Management
  • NRM Based Enterprise Training
  • Livestock Extension Worker Training
  • 5. Agriculture Extension Worker Training

Policy Advocacy and Linkages for Pro-Poor Development

  • 9 events under policy advocacy component have been conducted so far
  • 503 individuals participated in the event
  • Political administration and government line departments representatives participated in the events

Enabling Alliance Building (October, 2010-till date)

Regular Interaction is ensured with the various stakeholders including the government and the communities
This is ensured through coordination meetings, seminars and workshops.

Access to Social Sector Services

FLADP Social Sector Service Programme have undertaken 11 events under the component

  • 82 men and 36 women trained in health sector
  • 16 women and 10 men were trained in education sector
  • Establishment of 1 community based school
  • 1527 individuals were benefited through conducting 2 free medical camps
  • Benefiting 1200 girls students by constructing 6 latrines in Girls School

Improving Access to Education (October 2010-till date)

  • Community-Based School established
  • Primary School 46 students (33 girls and boys)
  • 1 local woman hired as a teacher
  • Teachers’ Professional Development
  • 26 teachers (62% women) were trained on ‘Active Learning Techniques’ enabling teachers to abandon conventional methods of teaching
