The 2010 devastating floods in Pakistan washed away thousands of houses and left a significant number of people homeless. These affected people had to take refuge in temporary camps and temporary shelter.
SRSP carried out a detailed assessment, through its field teams to identify the worst hit areas and to target the most deserving, and along with the support of UNHCR started a project of constructing 1,937 one room permanant houses for the flood affected populace.
This project has recieved much appreciation from the affected population, the media and the District and Provincial Administration.
More information about this project can be looked up in our statistics section and can also be obtained from SRSP headoffice.
