Technical and Vocational Education is considered as an important tool to measure development of trained labor force, required for the socio-economic development of a country. Rapid technological changes require individuals to learn and polish their skills according to local market demand. SRSP believes in harnessing of people’s potential through rigorous social interactions for social cohesion and capacity building initiatives. As a result of social mobilization more than 19000 community organizations of rural women and men have been formed since establishment of SRSP in 1989. The men and women community members trained as social and technical activists are 112,000. The gender ratio stands 60: 40% for men and women respectively. Vocational Training Programme of SRSP is imparting market driven technical skills to the deprived rural communities (men & women) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA to empower them economically. SRSP established its own Technical & Vocational center (TVC) in 2010, which is imparting employable skill trainings to marginalized rural youth, person with disabilities and other marginalized segments of society.
