The Monitoring Evaluation and Research Section of SRSP has the important role of monitoring the progress of SRSP'programmes and keeping the management informed about any course correction required to attain the objective and goals of the Programme. A theory of change is developed for all SRSP interventions and indicators developed for a result based managent approach to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the programme. Base lines are developed to support time lines which are maintained by a well designed MIS system to make good evaluations possible. Evaluation studies are regularly carried out by both internal and external evaluators. An important part of the M and E system is feedback from the communities in community managers conferences and staff planning meetings and workshops. Learning is encouraged as an important part of the organisational culture. The MER Section at the Head Office leads this process and supported by project monitoring officers in the field
